Can I say that this delay of the last episode of Kekkai Sensen is utterly ridiculous? I’m not so invested in the series that I care a lot, but it’s so irritating because it's just one more episode! So. I read a lot of Yoshihara Rieko. I suppose she's still best known for Ai no Kusabi, which I personally thought was crap. The series I've been following over the years are Kusare-en no Housoku (about a trio of childhood friends, two of whom are lovers) and Nijuu Rasen (about incest, among other things). Nijuu Rasen is a long-running series by Yoshihara Rieko and illustrated by Enjin Ranmaru which I've enjoyed greatly. I had quickly summarized the first five volumes earlier and am quite happy to report that the recently released volume 6 continues to be awesome in it's over-the-top melodrama. Actually, I think this one tops them all.

I had a grand old time reading the latest volume of the Nijuu Rasen series by Yoshihara Rieko (5 volumes total so far: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Why? Because it's an insane soap opera with incestuous gay sex between two hot brothers thrown in. The author ratchets up the crazy with each volume, which makes me so happy. Been looking through the new releases on Amazon Japan in preparation for an order and found out that volume 14 of Haru wo daiteita by Nitta Youka, the last one, is out. I stopped reading it a while back because the story wasn't keeping me interested, but I'm tempted to buy this just because I want to know the end. I assume it's happy, but what kind ( Read more... )

Not that long ago I had downloaded and skimmed through the available volumes of the manga Yami no Kodou by Yoshihara Reiko and Kada Michiru. I wasn't familiar with the artist, Kada Michiru, but I knew Yoshihara Reiko well, having read (or having attempted to read) many of her books (she's most famous for Ai no Kusabi?).
